Prepares and administers radioactive isotopes, and operates Nuclear Medicine and PET\/CT imaging equipment.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>**This is a PRN or as needed position.**<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div><strong>WHAT YOU WILL DO:\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>Performs all Nuclear Medicine and PET examinations according to Vail Health protocols.<\/li>\n<li>Complies with the State of Colorado for radiation safe practice in the handling of radiopharmaceuticals.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, send completed examinations to radiologist, and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.<\/li>\n<li>Monitors supply inventory and notify appropriate staff for ordering when stock is low. Keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat.<\/li>\n<li>Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis. Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician\u2019s name and signature, patient\u2019s name, and date.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains constructive collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, co-workers and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains working knowledge and use of the Vail Health HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Role models the principles of a Just Culture.<\/li>\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned.
